check the fuel line that is connected to the fuel filter it might not be connected right or u just have to give it some gas what u need to do is just turn the key on a few times then try to start i had to do that with my 2002 ford escort just a few days ago make sure there is no gas leaking out of the filter also make sure that the filter is not backwards it might not be letting gas through if it is backwards GOOD LUCK :)How to change a fuel filter on a 2004 F-350 diesel dully?
More than likely the fuel filter on the framerail wasn't properly installed, since it is an absolute pain to access, especially if it's a 4x4, causing the fuel supply valve inside the HFCM not to open to allow to fuel to travel to the secondary filter on the top of the engine.

How to change a fuel filter on a 2004 F-350 diesel dully?I work at jiffy lube, and if im not mistaken, you have a canister fuel filter near the middle of the engine on top. Im not 100% sure, but i think thats where it is. If that is what you have, just unscrew the top of the plastic lid, replace the round gasket(should come wiith the new filter, and reinstall. check filter right way round sounds daft but it is easy to put it on wrong way round and make sure you bleed fuel through otherwise it just wont suck the fuel up the pipe as it is lazy like a lot of ford components
